Paris Hilton's Defense: "I Thought The Cocaine Was Gum"

Yes, she did in fact say that.

Paris has been charged with felony drug possession, a charge that if convicted, she can serve 1-4 years in prison.  Not only is Paris using the lame excuse (in my opinion) that the purse wasn't hers, but now she says that she "thought the cocaine was gum".

Really, Paris?!?  Really?!?

This is the first time that a story has made me speechless.

Gum?!?!  White powder in no way resembles an 'effing chicklit!!!
